When to go:  April and May

Where to go:  Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai

Downside:   Boring communist legacy of bureaucracy and restrictions.

Our Experiences:  China is huge land. We have been there twice but we still need some other visits to get to know places like Xian, Shanghai and the Tibet region. Hong Kong is a vibrating expensive cosmopolitan city with the best gastronomy is all Asia! From the simple street food to a top Michelin triple starred restaurant ( Check Restaurants for more) everything tastes good. We love Cantonese food, so this is paradise. Beijing has a much more cultural  importance such as the Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City and the Ming Palace. All quite interesting. We drove a few hours from Beijing (our driver did that because it is not permited for tourists to rent and drive a car) to reach the Great Wall. One of the modern Seven Wonders.  Very crowded and windy, but it was cool to be there.  Shopping: When buying goods in China, be careful. There are lots of fake stuff (as expected) and also some tourist traps.

Hotels we love and recommend:  Four Seasons (Hong Kong) and Marriott ( Beijing)
